Azharrraja (from rel. as zharr rajaa, an arsonist's yearning), also known as The Worm That Is the Sun or the Maddened Hunger, is the G-d of Grief and Hunger that takes the form of a gargantuan blazing worm curled into tight ball that resembles the shape of an ultramassive star. It is the youngest true Zrah, still in the beginning phases of marking its place and sowing its influence within Arsgri, but it is, also, an incredibly powerful and pervasive G-d taking advantage of the many sites, events and creatures characterized by grief and desire.
History
Azharrraja supposedly comes from a world that was plagued by a long, nonsensical and total war, which he would come to learn and could see would eventually lead to the rise of a cosmic, brutal and militant empire akin to a takeover by a G-d. Faced with this reality and with the amount of grief and yearning in the universe, he sought to create a similarly cosmic entity that could kill the threat before it was born and give catharsis to his reality; to burn down all that hurt them and give the wronged satisfaction.
Azharrraja was born out of a hivemind society which descended from a cosmic worm G-d. Being named as its descendant, another Great Worm, attaining its power, and with the cooperation of the nearly dozen other entities which also did not wish to see the empire rise and suffered in the war, this created enough saturated and precisely applied power to Ascend Azharrraja past the requirements of merely this one world, and to the status of a Zhar, quickly latching onto the grief and yearning and need for catharsis present all around Arsgri as a whole.
Influence
Symbols
Azharrraja is connected most deeply with worms, war and fire, representing the catharsis of an arsonist. They belong into the group of G-ds connected to light/glow (alongside Mjonfaheir, Vitravnen, Chorach and Ascintiati) and are the second G-d deeply connected to fire. In the case of the Arsonist, they represent more the destructive power of flame, the release of wild energy, the wildfire that burns the plains down so that next year from the ash they will grow anew. Their connection with stars therefore is less in the nurturing warmth, and more the blazing end, the solar flares and the raw power contained within; it is a less friendly fire than Mjonfaheir's, the other side to his coin, but it is a required one, as not all fire can, or should, be merely nurturing and controlled. They are also the G-d of volcanoes and tectonics.
The G-d is also considered to be something of a patron of many species of dragons and wyrms, being worshipped by the lords of plasma and the draconic stars along with Mjonfaher, slowly but surely replacing him in many circles.
Children
As a G-d deeply involved with the matters of the common folk and their pain and struggle, their children, the arsonist worms, live in many places around the Universe as one with their community, though they are sometimes hunted or otherwise refused out of the fear of this outer G-d. They feed on care and love and catharsis, most often seeking to help their community and becoming fulfilled by truly being a part of something greater.
The true form of the arsonist worms is a wyrm without a lower jaw, their mouth long and parallel with their spine, opening from the ribs; though it is rarely witnessed, given they are talented shapeshifters who vastly prefer to assume other forms. Their so-called true body is most often seen when it is fordibly revealed upon setting an arsonist worm on fire, which kills them and returns them to Azharrraja.
They are thought to be true children, as Azharrraja seems to reproduce asexually.
